My life’s passion is taking on challenges and succeeding by planning well and by displaying tenacity. I have done it all my life in sports and have applied it to my professional and business careers.
My physical abilities are not in strength or speed but rather in endurance. In this manner, I have raced a car virtually non-stop from India to England (12,860 miles), sailed across the North Atlantic and from North to South Pacific three times each and once around the world, have completed the World Championship Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii and two successful Channel swims at age 46.
Now at age 70 (and then 71), the Channel is the challenge, for in succeeding I will be the oldest ever to have done so. When they say it can't be done, that's when I ask why. When the response is without common sense, that's when I engage.
Support Physical Therapy Research!
I am attempting to become the oldest person to swim across the English Channel in order to raise money for physical therapy research. Learn more in the links below.
Please support my effort by making pledges or donations at www.apta.org/parisswim. All proceeds benefit physical therapy research!
